No Rice Today:
It is another nightmare where the whole family crowds around my mom and pleads for different varieties of foods. I on the other side sit in a corner and watch the tremendous fun. I suppose to eat whatever is given and also help on what to make. Telling them to make it simple is needed so when I help there is not much work to finish. Today is a unique day due to the “NO RICE TODAY” thing. Only Poori and some gravy. Poori can be defined as an Indian wheat bread deep-fried in oil. While the gravy is a mixture of carrot, capsicum, cauliflower, potato, and peas. But this time, I got the chance to help 🙂
Though my mom did the majority of the work, I helped her now and then observing each action she made. After tasting this wonderful poori I was speechless, and I would like to share the taste before the recipe!
Taste: It wasn’t too oily, but it was soft and had the perfect consistency!r!
Spice: The spice was very mild, but spice can always be added. With a mild dish and a spicy gravy it all goes well together though!
Healthy: It won’t be said healthy due to it being fried in oil, but it can go in both ways!
The perfect side that suits Poori cannot be explained anymore; a spicy vegetable gravy! As I took the vegetables out of the fridge my mind couldn’t think of anything but why and what. Finally, I now see the end result and I am overjoyed by how everything ended up. Again, the recipe will e listed below, but my thoughts before that!
Taste: It was spicy, and that amount went very well with the mild Poori.
Spice: As said before, it wasn’t too spicy but not blank either. It is definite that Poori and this gravy were a match made in heaven!
Healthy: I think it is healthy because of the vegetables, but then it also depends on the quantity you take it in!
Very Nice
